In season 5 episode 5, Kill the Boy, Daenerys makes her way to third place as she reacts to the latest attack by the Sons of the Harpy. Jon continues his winning streak by making an alliance with Tormund and the wildlings against the objection of his brothers in the Night’s Watch. Jorah and Tyrion survive a close call, but Jorah’s fate still remains uncertain.

In Meereen Grave Worm lies injured with Missandei at his bedside while Daenerys and Daario stand vigil over Barristan’s body. Grief stricken and enraged she wants all the leaders of the great families imprisoned, including Hizdahr Zo Loraq. She has them taken to the pyramid where Rhaegal and Viserion are being held. She feeds one of the men to her dragons to make her point and threatens to do the same to Hizdahr.
Grey Worm receives -1 Wounded points for being injured in battle with the Sons of the Harpy.
Barristan Selmy receives -5 Death points for not surviving his wounds.
Daenerys Targaryen earns 1 Capture point for imprisoning the nobles of Meereen and 2 Morghulis points for ordering the death of a Meereenese noble.
Hizdahr Zo Loraq receives -1 Capture point for him imprisonment.
At the wall Sam reads to Maester of Aemon of his great niece’s exploits. Aemon laments his age as he is no condition to go to her and she has no family to guide her. Jon interrupts seeking the Maester’s advice in his course of action, but Aemon does not give him a chance to explain. He tells Jon half the men will hate him regardless and he must trust his instincts. He tells Jon, “Kill the boy, and let the man be born.” Jon goes to Tormund and offers an alliance. Tormund rejects it wholeheartedly, but Jon points out the true victims would be those too weak to fight. Tormund agrees on the condition that Jon will come with him to Hardhome to speak with the remnants of Mance’s army. The men of the Night’s Watch are not pleased with the proposal. Jon argues that if they do not allow the Wildlings through the Wall they will only be adding to the ranks of the White Walker’s army. Particularly outraged with the arrangement are Alliser Thorne and Jon’s young steward, Olly.
Jon Snow earns 3 Alliance points for his partnership with Tormund.
Tormund Giantsbane earns 3 Alliance points for his partnership with Jon Snow.
Brienne keeps watch of Winterfell from her window when a servant happens in. She susses out that the man is loyal to house Stark and asks his help in delivering a message for her. In the castle a serving woman approaches Sansa telling her she is not without friends and should she ever need help to light a candle in the tallest tower.
Brienne of Tarth earns 3 Alliance points for earning the servants of Winterfell’s trust.
Elsewhere in Winterfell Myranda’s jealousy begins to get the better of her. She sadistically offers to show Sansa a surprise and leads her to the kennels to be confronted with Theon, whom she believes murdered her younger brothers. A terrified Theon immediately confesses to Ramsay who arranges his own surprise. At dinner he presents Theon to Sansa in front of Roose and his new wife and has him apologize for murdering Bran and Rickon. Then announces Reek will give Sansa away at their wedding since her entire family is dead. After the awkward encounter Lady Walda announces she is expecting and Ramsay will soon have a true-born baby brother, thus threatening his position as Roose’s heir.
At the Wall Sam and Gilly are discussing his desire to be a maester before his father brought him to the Night’s Watch when Stannis interrupts. He asks how Sam was able to kill a White Walker and Sam explains it was the Dragonglass. Stannis encourages to keep reading so they may learn more on how to fight their true enemy. He then goes to Davos and announces the time has come to march on Winterfell.
Back in Meereen Grey Worm is wracked with guilt and shame. Missandei attempts to comfort him, he explains it is not his injury which shames him, but the fear he felt went he thought he might die. She tells him all men fear death, but he says it was not death he feared it was the thought of never seeing her again. The two share a kiss.
Later Daenerys asks her advice on how she should move forward with the imprisoned nobles. Daario is in favor of execution, but she knows Barristan would have counseled mercy. Missandei notes that often Daenerys is able to find solutions only she could see. Daenerys goes to Hizdahr’s cell. He drops his earlier bravado and confesses he has no wish to die. She responds that it takes courage to admit fear, and mistakes. She says he was right about tradition and agrees to reopen the fighting pits and she will take a husband from one of Meereen’s ancient families, him.

Hizdahr Zo Loraq earns 3 Alliance points his arrangement with Daenerys.
Jorah and Tyrion sail through the ruins of Old Valyria when they catch sight of Drogon. Both are so entranced they miss the Stone Men jump into the water. Stone Men are those infected with greyscale, now feral and confined to the shattered peninsula. The boat is overtaken but Jorah is able to fight them off and save Tyrion. They find themselves on shore, Jorah frees Tyrion from his binds and they agree to work together. Jorah goes to find wood for a fire, though when he walks away see he has been infected with greyscale.
Jorah Mormont earns 3 Victory points for fighting off the Stone Men, 3 Alliance points for saving Tyrion, and -1 Wound point for being infected with greyscale
Tyrion Lannister earns 1 Survival point for escaping the Stone Men and 3 Alliance points for being saved by Jorah.
