Welcome to Season 3 of the Fantasy League of Thrones! We start things off with a chilling look at the toll the white walkers have taken on the Night Watch but many of our favorites survive. Daenerys search for allies in the east gives her an early bump on the leaderboard. Bronn finds himself in first place as he continues to reap the rewards for his valor in the Battle of the Blackwater. Davos Seaworth is not so lucky. He has survived the battle of the Blackwater, but will he be able to survive his King?

The episode opens with Samwell Tarly running through a blizzard. He is attacked by a wight, but saved by the arrival of Ghost and Commander Mormon with the remaining men of the Night’s Watch after their battle with the White Walkers. Sam reveals to Commander Mormont that he failed to send off the ravens, his only job. Mormont declares they must return to the Wall to warn them of the White Walkers.
White Walkers earn 3 Victory points for their defeat of the Night’s Watch at the Fist of the First Men.
Samwell Tarly earns 1 Survival point for escaping the White Walkers attack.
Jeor Mormont ears 1 Morghulis point for killing a wight and 1 Survival point for escaping the White Walkers attack.
Grenn earns 1 Survival point for escaping the White Walkers attack.
Eddison Tollett earns 1 Survival point for escaping the White Walkers attack.
Rast earns 1 Survival point for escaping the White Walkers attack.
Jon is escorted through the Wildling camp and is shocked to see they have Giants for allies. He is taken to Mance Rayder, the King Beyond the Wall. At first he mistakes Tormund Giantsbane for Mance much to their amusement. Mance demands to know why Jon would betray the Knight’s Watch. Mance doubts him when he claims he wants to be free. Jon then tells a more truthful version. He explains what he saw at Craster’s and that the Lord Commander knew the man was sacrificing his sons to the White Walkers. Jon tells him he wishes to fight for the living.
Jon Snow earns 3 Alliance points for joining Mance’s army.
Mance Rayder earns 3 Alliance points for accepting Jon into his army.
In King’s Landing Tyrion attempts regain some of his lost power, sending his squire Pod to find him Bronn, now Ser Bronn of the Blackwater. Cersei appears at Tyrion’s chambers. The two trade insults until she reveals that she knows he is to meet with their father later and threatens him against slandering she and Joffrey as he has done in the past. Tyrion points out that it is not slander if it is true. Cersei tells him he isn’t as clever as he thinks he is to which Tyrion agrees, but notes that he’s still more clever than her. Bronn arrives to find Meryn Trant outside Tyrion’s door and the two seem about to square off when Cersei suddenly takes her leave bringing Trant with her. Bronn explains to Tyrion that his prices have gone up as he is now a Knight and lacking the income from commanding the City Watch. Tyrion agrees to double his wages cementing their alliance.
Bronn earns 3 Honors points for being made a Knight and 3 Alliance points for remaining loyal to Tyrion.
Tyrion Lannister earns 3 Alliance points for ensuring Bronn’s loyalty.
On a lone rock in Blackwater Bay Davos awakes finding he has survived the Battle on the Blackwater. A ship approaches and asks what side he fought for, but thankfully they are loyal to Stannis as well. He is brought aboard the ship of his old friend Salladhor Saan. He asks Davos about his son, but Davos knows he is dead. Saan explains Stannis has not taken the defeat well, spending his time locked with the Red Woman in the towers of Dragonstone. He warns Davos not to go there and to sail for home having heard tales that Melisandre has continued her “sacrifices” to the flame. Davos asks to be taken there so he may stop her. Saan tries to persuade him otherwise, but reluctantly agrees.
Salladhor Saan earns 3 Alliance points for honoring his friendship with Davos

Robb Stark and his forces find Harrenhal empty. The Mountain has fled with his men and put all the northern prisoners to death. Cat is horrified by the slaughter, but quickly brought back to her own circumstances when Robb announces a cell must be found for her, revealing he still distrusts her after she freed Jaime Lannister. Among the carnage Robb’s new wife Talisa finds a survivor, a man named Qyburn.
Qyburn earns 1 Survival point for surviving the Mountain’s purge of Harrenhal.
Tyrion has a tense meeting with his father. Tywin gives him little credit for his work in the capitol, preferring to believe Cersei’s stories that his time was spent drinking and whoring. Tired of the disrespect Tyrion bluntly demands his birthright, that he be made heir of Casterly Rock as Jaime has forsaken it with his vow to the Kingsguard. Tywin makes it clear that Tyrion will never be Lord of Casterly Rock going so far as to blame him for the death of his mother in childbirth. Tywin further declares that he will have the next whore he finds in Tyrion’s bed killed.
Sansa and Shae are watching the ships in the bay when they approached by Petyr Baelish accompanied by Ros. He speaks to Sansa in private of plans to take her home. He tells her she must be ready at a moment’s notice and she eagerly agrees. Alone Ros reveals she’s not fooled by Shae’s performance as handmaiden and warns Shae to watch Sansa with Littlefinger.
Sansa Stark earns 3 Alliance points for her arrangement with Littlefinger.
Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish earns 3 Alliance points for helping Sansa to escape the Lannisters.
Meanwhile to the east Daenerys’ ships make their way to the city of Astapor. Her dragons have grown, but are still not large enough to ride. She needs an army and Astapor is known to have the fiercest slave soldiers in the world. Daenerys however does not seem wholly comfortable with the idea of owning a slave army.
Davos is brought to Stannis who gives him a cold welcome with Melisandre at his side. Davos tells his King that the war is not yet lost, but that Melisandre is leading him down the wrong path. She lays the blame for their defeat on him for counseling Stannis to leave her on Dragonstone. Had she been there his son would not have died. He lets his fury loose on the woman calling her an evil mother of demons and trying to attack her. He is dragged off by Stannis’ guards.
Davos Seaworth receives -1 Capture point for being imprisoned and -3 Fall From Power points for losing Stannis’ trust and presumably his position as Hand.
Stannis Baratheon earns 1 Capture point for imprisoning Davos.
Joffrey is annoyed when the royal procession is halted in Flea Bottom, the same area the riots occurred last season. From the safety of his carriage he is surprised to see Lady Margaery walking unguarded among the commoners. She speaks to an orphanage telling them their fathers fought bravely for their city and their King. She distributes toys and claims that King Joffrey will protect them. She then tells the Septas privately to come to her should they need funds.
Margaery Tyrell earns 3 Alliance points for earning the love of the common people.
Later she and her brother Loras dine with Joffrey and Cersei. Margaery is all charm which only serves to annoy Cersei more. She warns the girl against walking Flea Bottom unguarded noting their recent attack. Joffrey rushes to downplay the event claiming they were never in any real danger and that perhaps Cersei’s age has clouded her memory. Cersei retorts dryly that perhaps she does not posses a King’s bravery.
Daenerys arrives in Astapor and is taken to see the Unsullied, the elite slave soldiers trained for years by the Astapori. Daenerys painfully tries to conceal her disgust at the slavers practices as Master Kraznys mo Nakloz gives her a tour. He speaks through his interpreter, Missandei who tells of their cruel training. Daenerys wants time to consider, but the Master warns that he has many interested buyers.
Daenerys fears what kind of Queen that would make her if she were to command a slave army. Jorah argues that she would not treat them as the Masters have. What has been done to them may be awful, but walking away from this deal will not undo it. Daenerys smiles at a small girl playing, she goes to pick up the girl’s ball and the girl motions for her to open it. Before she can a hooded figure knocks it from her hand. Daenerys falls and the ball opens to reveal a manticore intent on attack. The figure plunges his knife into it saving her. The girl lets out a hiss revealing blue gums and an alliance to the warlocks of Qarth. Daenerys goes to thank the man who removes his hood and Jorah recognizes him. He is Ser Barristan Selmy member of the Kingsguard under Robert and her father before him. He declares he loyalty to Daenerys and begs the honor of joining her Queensguard.
